Citroën
Visa II Chrono
SOLD
The Citroën Visa Chrono, launched in 1982, was designed for competition, following the line of the Trophée launched in 1981, but aiming for a class above 1,300cc, also in the Gr.B.
Using the same 1,360cc XY block as the Visa GT, but with some modifications, namely the application of two Solex C35 dual carburettors, it delivered an amazing 93hp, which for this ultra-lightweight was an excellent mark.
In addition to the exterior decoration, the differences compared to the Visa GT can be found in the specific body kit and in the Cibié fog lights.
2,160 units were produced exclusively for the French market and later 1,650 more were destined for the German, Austrian, Belgian, Italian, Netherlands and Swiss markets, which instead of the Solex C35 carburettors used the same Weber carburetion as the GT, delivering 80hp in all variants except the Swiss which was limited to 73hp.
This is one of those 1,650 units produced outside France, in this case for the Netherlands, and is in an extraordinary state of conservation, completely original.
